Getting the support you need
I provide supervision on an individual or group basis for qualified therapists or those in training. I encourage supervisees to explore their own relationship to the material and it's impact upon them as well as the relationship in between.
In addition, I recognise that many people working within the helping profession often receive managerial supervision but can feel unsupported around other areas relating to the work such as vicarious or secondary trauma, personal impact of the work which you don't want to disclose to a work colleague or workplace issues such as bullying. I provide a safe and secure space where you can bring whatever is troubling you which can support you to carry out your job more effectively and feel supported. For employers I am able to offer a block of 6 sessions for a staff member at the rate of £360, please enquire more if you are interested in this option.
The supervision that I offer is also for managers supporting staff who may feel overwhelmed with the responsibilities and challenges of this role. This can include struggling with poor performance, individual crisis such as sudden illness or death, fear of or actual redundancy, relationship or financial issues. The area of supporting staff beyond getting the job done is one that many people do not receive either the training or support within their organisation to feel supported themselves. This is something I can offer through supervision.
My experience prior to becoming a psychotherapist included working in a managerial level within the private and third sector so I have a very good understanding of many of the work place challenges.
The cost for individual supervision sessions lasting 50 minutes is £70. Please contact me for costings relating to group supervision.
