Qualifications & Experience

What can I say about me? I've worked in different sectors in a variety of roles in the many years before I became a therapist, working in the private and voluntary sector. I started a counselling training as I wanted something more in my life than what I was doing and want to something that was more about people than products.

During my counselling journey I've worked in a drop service in Central London, a local low cost counselling service and in domestic and sexual abuse service as well as private practice. In all of this I have learnt a lot about myself but respect for people's resilience and resourcefulness. Courage is something that I really acknowledge, to talk to stranger about your closet fears, experiences and feelings is not easy. I also see how humour brings so much to the counselling relationship.

Along the way I've become interested in more creative and unconscious ways of working, for example dreams, the creative imagination and what we hold in the body.

At the moment I am also teaching Diploma level counselling via zoom.
